19A - Idea Napkin No.2
1) You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am Eli Avshara. I have an entrepreneurial spirit with a charismatic charm that directs
people in my direction. These skills translate to a more motivated and goal oriented
employee. I aspire to become a business owner or to take over a business and operate it at
optimal efficiency by adjusting the areas of development within the organizational structure.
2) What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
The service I am offering is an application that will save people years worth of their time. For the most part, people have been getting used to waiting long lines because they don't have any other alternative. It’s not like you can just cut to the front of the line because you don’t want to wait. With that being said, my application, Line Cutter, offers the user an option to search any store in his or her area and check on the current waiting time in order to avoid waiting in long lines.
3) Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and
psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do
your customers all have in common?
psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do
your customers all have in common?
My clients range between Davie, FL and Gainesville, FL. I could say that 4 out of 5 stores will
have lines with long waiting times based on my personal experience shopping in the malls or
stores in this region, which means that there are customers in all these areas experiencing the
frustration of waiting in a long line. I believe that most people don’t like to wait in long lines;
therefore, there should be something done to help alleviate this issue.

4) Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its
valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your
product or service.

I can’t really tell you how many people I know that enjoy waiting in long lines because
I don’t know any; thus, I believe that having an application that provides people the
information about the waiting times in a store would be highly marketable and resourceful.
This application would be used right after searching for a destination on waze or maps,
which would mean it could become a vital app for everyday function like waze or maps.

This app needs to be concentrated in heavily populated areas to make this application
as efficient as possible, so I will begin by promoting LineCutter in big cities with a lot of
infrastructure and business. Optimal areas to start my promotional efforts would be:
New York, Chicago, and Atlanta.

5) What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else?
Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
My company believes in optimizing efficiency in our customers' daily lives in order to
open up more time in their daily lives to partake in other activities that could benefit their
well-being. We are different from everyone else because we offer solutions that affect
the customers using the application and the stores themselves. The stores benefit from
the application because it helps control the influx of customers coming in and out of the store.

In addition to these five elements, please spend a paragraph evaluating whether you
believe these elements fit together or whether there are aspects of your business
concept that are weaker / out-of-joint with the others.

I believe my organizational elements fit together because my app can become a usable
application in people's daily routines, which means they would be using this before or
after waze or maps. Waze or maps are used on a daily basis to provide real time traffic
support and navigation. Realistically, my customers could check the waiting times in all the
stores in their area or a specific retailer of their choice and then proceed to get directions
from waze or maps. My app would give them the optimal time to leave their current location
based on how crowded the store(s) is/are in their area.

For the "feedback memo" -- please summarize at least two main points that you took away
from the feedback you received. Also, please describe how you incorporated the feedback
into this idea napkin.

1. This app needs to be concentrated in heavily populated areas to make the app as efficient
as possible. I incorporated the concept into where I would start promoting this application.

2. My customer group needs to have a high socioeconomic status because people with
more money will have more money to allocate to shopping. The act of promoting my
application in heavily populated areas with high market values and people with high
socioeconomic statuses.

Eli, you did a heck of a job on this. I thought your first idea napkin was great, but I thought you definitely did a good job of including more specific information about your app in this blog. Specifically mentioning your desired market and details about how the app would operate makes it easier to understand and it’s literal application. Well done!
